Dr. Maia Veague

Dr. Maia Veague (she/her) has an individual-centered approach to treatment that focuses on somatic learning. She draws from a combination of techniques to find the ways your body is most receptive to treatment. You will leave sessions with improved awareness, both bodily and conceptually.
As a dancer and performing artist, Dr. Veague is intrigued by any sport/activity with unique demands of proprioception or mobility. She specializes in treating dancers, musicians, circus artists, and martial artists, and is skilled at working with hypermobility, breath/core dynamics, and high-demand training loads for performance or endurance events. She enjoys supporting teenagers, womxns health/menopause, and pregnancy.
Dr. Veague is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician through the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians, and a board member and volunteer clinician with the SeaPAM Seattle Performing Arts Medicine non-profit. She has completed certifications for Active Release Technique, Graston Technique, Applied Kinesiology, and Pilates Instruction. Dr. Maia is a valedictorian graduate of Lifewest Chiropractic College and has been with Active Seattle since 2014.
