Dr. Maia Veague
BSc, DC
Dr. Maia is a valedictorian graduate of Lifewest Chiropractic College and practiced in the San Francisco Bay area before joining Active Seattle Chiropractic in 2014. She has a patient-centered approach to treatment that focuses on the structure, function, and stress components making up our health. She draws from a combination of techniques, including ART, Graston, Bio-Geometric Integration, and Professional Applied Kinesiology, which allows her to effectively and completely manage a variety of complaints.
Dr. Maia specializes in sport-related and active lifestyle treatment, specifically dance and performing arts medicine. She is intrigued by any sport/activity with atypical demands on the body, such as excessive mobility requirements, endurance events, and pregnancy, and draws insight from her background in dance and as a Certified Pilates Instructor. She is a volunteer provider and board member for the Seattle Performing Arts Medicine, a non-profit hosting free clinic for dancers. Dr. Maia works regularly as a freelance dancer with a variety of Seattle movement artists, and spends her free time running, reading, cooking, traveling, and hiking with her dog.
